Question Marlin

Bonjour, un ami désire faire l'acquisition d'une marlin 336 a notre boutique chasse-pêche locale.

Comment, par le no de série, pouvons-nous être sûrs que l'arme a été fabriquée avant l'acquisition de Marlin par Remington.

The serial number will start with MR***** on the left side of the receiver if its a marlington


Marlin will have a "JM" proofstamp on barrel forward of receiver.


Remington made will have a "REP" proofstamp on barrel forward of receiver.

When you get to your gun, look at first 2 digits of ser#, take those two numbers and subtract them from 100, that will be the YOM {year of manufacture}...

example, ser# 243694 100-24 = 76, so the YOM is 1976......
