[Vous devez être inscrit et connecté pour voir ce lien]A 16-year-old male is facing assault charges after police say he stabbed another teen who he caught breaking into his Southdale home with two other teenaged suspects Tuesday.
Police say three suspects broke into a home in the 800 block of Beaverhill Boulevard around 2:30 p.m.
A 13-year-old girl was home at the time and called her 16-year-old brother who came home in time to find one of the suspects, a 15-year-old male armed with a hammer and bear spray, still in the house.
The 16-year-old armed himself with a knife and confronted the suspect, who sprayed him with the bear spray.
The 15-year-old suspect was stabbed several times in the upper body but was able to get away and meet the other two suspects who took him to the hospital.
Police flooded the area and all suspects were rounded up.
A 15-year-old male and a 17-year-old male, both of Winnipeg face several charges including break and enter to commit robbery, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and disguise with intent.
A 16-year-old female of Winniepg is also charged with break and enter to commit robbery.
The 16-year-old resident is charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
